The Social Media Examiner has held their Social Media Marketing World conference for the past eight years in San Diego. For three days, conference attendees make connections, learn the latest social media trends and participate in immersive sessions. Throughout the years, the conference topics have drastically changed, however, their overall branding has not.

For a conference that is heavily focused on current social media trends, it was important this conference received a brand refresh. 

A cyber-punk inspired color scheme was selected to help bring the conference into the future. A bold combination of red, purple, teal and yellow were selected to communicate the brand's confidence. These colors, paired with the Gilroy font, create an overall clean feel for the conference.

The social media algorithm is constantly changing and requires companies to do the same in order to extend their reach. These factors came into play when designing the conference pattern. Loud and abstract blobs were formed to portray that those who succeed on social channels do not fit a specific mold.  Instead, there is a focus placed on offering something unique to keep followers engaged.
